A Fourth to Remember

Photo by Camylla Battani on Unsplash

Today’s the day!
Buzzing with excitement
We’re celebrating indoors today!
My owner created a scavenger hunt for me
She hid some delectable treats throughout the house
Pop a tunnel of floating bubbles along the way
Canine peanut butter, vanilla cookie treats
Await me at the end of the obstacle
An excursion to the back patio
Fetching a squeaky ball
My owner loves me
No fireworks

Word of the Day: Excitement

Hello everyone! I'm a technical writer by day, creative writer by night. I have a wild imagination yearning for more in life. I'm fascinated by many subjects that have developed into a sort of mental and physical wanderlust that ultimately leads me to experience a variety of cultural shocks. Welcome to my journey and looking forward to reading your blogs!

  1. Very well expressed poem, and also the quote of Miss. Rice, she is no dummy like me for sure. By the way, congratulations on the award I saw in the other post.
I´m no doctor, I have served in the Spanish Legion and deployed twice, and I am alive because of different factors but one includes the American helping us, so it is joy on that date for you because of the sacrifice those people in uniform did. At least you have your house, they are dead for you, a beautiful dog, a home that now a days here in Spain the increment of people being homeless is going through the roof e.t.c. I just probably say this to remind myself how lucky I am this month of having a roof and computer and some food and my famous cigarettes.
Take care, and congratulations for the award you certainly disserve it.

    1. Thank you, Charly! I appreciate the recognition. Rice’s quote really resonated with me. I appreciate you sharing your story. I’m reminded of the sacrifices of our military so that I can live happily in relative peace. One of my friends was a veteran. When he passed away, I was saddened because he impacted my life in a tremendous way. I don’t know too many men like him.

I don’t have any pets. It’s a stock photo. :)I thank you, again for stopping by!

    1. Thanks, Joanna! It occurred to me that several dogs were terrified of the loud noises by fireworks, so I thought to write to that. The quote also resonated with me as well!
