Good morning everyone! Inspired from an episode that I watched from the Food Network Star, I created this metaphor to symbolize the all the great experiences that I have checking out your blogs. I wrote this poem back in January 2018, but it’s been sitting in my draft box for a long time.
Dverse Poets : Meet the Bar- Creating a Metaphor
Salted Caramel’s Blogger’s Coffee Morning
Blogs on WordPress
are the countless types of desserts
on the buffet of life
Matcha Green Tea Cake
Coconut Creme Pie
Sinfully Chocolate Brownie
Angel Vanilla Cake
Pistachio Nut Pudding
Sour Lemon Tart
Raspberry Kolache
Fortune Cookie
Sitting on a plate looking delectable
Various guilty pleasures
Some may delight the senses
You may be allergic to others
Blending in with your morning
tea, coffee, juice, or milk
Each one delivers a unique experience

And isn’t it the truth! 👍

Definitely! ❤ Not sure if you're a chocolate fan Sadje, but when I think of you I think of an ultimate, gluten-free, paleo, and keto chocolate cake. Popular, healthy, comforting, fabulous. https://www.gnom-gnom.com/paleo-keto-chocolate-cake/

Definitely a chocolate fan. If I get the cake you just described, I think I’d eat it all. Thanks

I love this. I would call yours. . . Matcha Green Tea Cake. With a touch of lime.

Thanks Jay! Very perceptive, you certainly nailed it. I love green tea, matcha, and lime. I love limes so much I wrote about them here: https://theresaly520.wordpress.com/2019/10/14/octpowrimo8-smell-of-lime-leaves/
As for you, I’m envisioning you as tiramisu or opera cake. Layered, classic, elegant, expresso-soaked, creamy, lightly sweetened. 🙂

I know!!🤤 I wish I could read so much more. My speed reading classes can only do so much! A.O.C., if your blog was a dessert, I might just think of cinnamon coffee cake!

Blogs are like pie. Delicious, sometimes sweet and other times savor and a little flaky.

I’m not sure why it took me two years to publish this short poem. A host of factors came into play.😌 Thank you again Rory! 😃 I do appreciate it.

Totally delectable 😀 Funny how most draft are easily tossed but there’s always a couple you can’t seem to delete, lol Glad you kept this one.
Thanks for stopping by, Sa 🙂

Yes! It’s interesting how many authors have scrapped many drafts. There are a few that I feel scared to post. Maybe it’s because I have an audience now. 🙂 Enjoyed revisiting your site!
