Many people enjoy going to the opera during their leisure time. Though an acquired taste, costumes and overall story is enjoyable! I visited my first opera when the weather was balmy. I still remember my dress swaying in the breeze.
Conflicted because it’s an incredibly beautiful opera, yet reminds me of an individual who always made me feel beneath him figuratively speaking. *sigh* He can go ahead and have the top bunk anyway! See if I care! Okay, I’m off my soap box now… Learned a lot from the experience. Time to move on! 🙂

Oh I do love a bit of classical music. My favourite Mozart was the Marriage of Figaro. 🙂

I don’t know anything about opera but the singer’s voice is giving me goosebumps it’s so pure and beautiful (even if she’s saying bad things).

Opera tends to always make me feel that way too! The singers train so hard to deliver these amazing performances. 🙂

Wow, Meryl Streep has a much wider repertoire than I thought! She’s so talented! I feel like she can step into so many roles and assume their identity. 🙂

Thank you for sharing this piece.
If he took you to the Opera ( or did you take him??) he was not ALL bad…. but you are better off without him! 😀

Yes, the Magic Flute astounds me! The songs, costumes, story line…all of it is a masterpiece! 🙂
It’s such a long story! As a person who tries to see the best in others, I know that he was not ALL bad. I can still count all the qualities in my head actually. Yet, he severely hurt me in a multitude of ways, and I felt miserable often. Some people need a lot of “professional” help, and he was one of them.

Mozart was a rare Genius! I’m unsure if it was deliberate but some of his music ( i need to look it up!) has been found to induce ‘3 way integration’ of the functioning of our brains so as to achieve the optimal performance. ( L/R hemispheres, Frontal/Occipital and up/down-Cerebral/medullary neural connectivity ! ) He wrote The Magic Flute shortly before he died and some say the work is a representation of his Freemasonry. Freemasons have close links with old Alchemical thinking. 😉
So sorry to hear of the hurt. It is good you have recovered(?) and can see the lessons from it and grow stronger as one result. 🙂
Sometimes i think we could ALL do with a little (lot in some cases 😉 ) professional help in how best to deal with our own issues and how to deal with other people, not least the ones we ‘love’. 🙂
A pleasure ‘chatting’ – as always. 🙂
